Fendi Casa Maison et Objet January 2014

An exclusive and charming ambience introduces the Fendi Casa collection presented at Paris’ Maison & Objet 2014. The precious interior design objects express a lifestyle that translates tradition in innovative and contemporary terms.

The high-level design, showcased on a multi-faceted and fluid stage, reveals a sophisticated art de vivre, translating into a living philosophy. In this display, sofas, armchairs, tables, beds and exquisitely finished objects, resulting from a meticulous design and high-level craftsmanship, naturally adapt to the surrounding context and bring out its value.

A synthesis of material and form, the collection embodies the idea of beauty and luxury with extreme care for details and finishes, to make every ambience unique with modernity and savoir-faire. On the background, the dwelling of a cultivated and cosmopolitan traveller overlooks unique and timeless landscapes. Rome, seen from the Gianicolo heights, resonates with classic references – New York, as seen from an elegant Park Avenue penthouse – Scotland, in an ancient and noble family castle. The collection displays well balanced opulence, with quotations from different cultures and capable to experiment while keeping loyal to Fendi’s Dna.

This is where architect, designer and decorator Thierry Lemaire’s new collection falls into place. It originates from a sophisticated and versatile furniture programme, a magnificent take on Fendi Casa’s styles: Artù seats, Star tables and suspended fixtures, Stardust chairs, Ginevra coffee tables. These objects are not different from sculptures, in that they are expressive works of art displaying harmony, energy and an innate sense of proportions, translated into rigorous, at times aerodynamic lines which convey a sense of strength and immediacy. The objects stand out for different material matched with each other, simple and precious, smooth and rough. The universe is both couture and chic, and offers a multi-shaped vision of sobriety and timelessness, a promise for the new classicism of tomorrow.

The Fendi Casa Contemporary collection, designed by Toan Nguyen, is confirmed and expanded with the Cocoon line – sofa and loveseat – as well as the Pierre coffee table system.
